Spleef

Spleef

Introduction: v0.1
Flexible: Yes
Biome (Nether): Nether Wastes
Specialty (End): Levitation Shulker Boxes
Status: Used

Overview

Spleef is a minigame where you need to remove blocks under other player's feet so they fall in the void or lava and eventually die. Snow blocks and diamond shovels are frequently used, since Spleef uses insta mining. There are multiple spin-offs of Spleef, including Splegg, where you need to throw eggs which break te floor under.

Spleef-Spleef

Spleef-Spleef does not combine any other minigames with Spleef. The Overworld Map Type has two large square layers of snow which you have to dig with a diamond shovel. There aren't any special gameplay elements added to this. The Nether Map Type also has two layers, this one with Netherrack which you need to break with a golden pickaxe in some sort of Nether cave where lava pours out of the ceiling. Under the lowest layer is lava. The End Map Type has two large square layers of End Stone which you need to break with an enchanted diamond pickaxe. The lowest layer has Shulker Boxes which levitate you when you open them. You can use this to go up a layer again.

Spleef-Spleef Images

Spleef-Mob Battle

Spleef-Mob Battle is mostly like regular Spleef, except it spawns creepers, piglins or endermen and shulkers based on the selected Map Type. The map itself looks the same as Spleef-Spleef, including the levitation shulker boxes in the End Map and the lava in the Nether Map. Players will not get a kit in this combination, so the only way to fight the mobs is by spleefing them.

Spleef-Mob Battle Images

Spleef-Skywars

Spleef-Skywars combines the Skywars-concept with Spleef. Because Spleef is in the spotlight, the snowy islands are changed to a large square made out of snow blocks containing large holes. There is only one layer. There are also chests with loot where you can find TNT, dirt, golden carrots and more. There are also chests with better loot in the middle of the playing area, where you can also find armor and swords. This loot doesn't differ between Map Types, but it does differ from Item Types. The Nether Map Type has lava below the map. There are Shulker Boxes in the End Map Type of this combination, which make you levitate. This can also be used for a strategy.

Spleef-Skywars Images

Spleef-Duels

Spleef-Duels combines the Duels-concept with Spleef. Because Spleef is in the spotlight, there will be two layers where players can fight and spleef. The players get a shovel in their first horbar slot and a sword in their second hotbar slot. The map is identical to the Spleef-Spleef combination, so the Nether Map Type also has lava and the End Map also has Shulker Boxes. When the End Map Type gets activated, the food is changed to Chorus Fruit, instead of regular food.

Spleef-Duels Images

Spleef-Sniper Duels

Spleef-Skywars combines the Skywars-concept with Spleef. Spleef is in the spotlight, so there are two layers where the players can shoot and spleef. The players get a shovel in their first hotbar slot and a bow in their second. If a player fires an arrow, the snow/netherrack/soul soil/end stone blocks below it will break. There are no obstacles in the Nether Map Type, but you can shoot through the lava to set fire to the arrows. There are End Crystals in the End Map Types to give the closest players a damage-boost or even kill them.

Spleef-Sniper Duels Images

Spleef-Creeper Tennis

Spleef-Creeper Tennis combines the Creeper Tennis concept with Spleef. Since Creeper Tennis is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. The arena has a gap in the middle. Barricades have been placed around the Overworld and End Maps to reduce the chances of creepers flying too far. The Nether Map is completely surrounded by netherrack and similar blocks, so that a creeper can only fall into the void in the gap or by being spleefed. There are five rounds. Each round teleports all players to a random location on the map. A game ends after round 5 or when a player dies.

Spleef-Creeper Tennis Images

Spleef-Elytra Course

Spleef-Elytra Course combines the Elytra part of the Elytra Course concept with Spleef. Since Elytra Course is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. A number of islands made out of spleef blocks will spawn randomly in the map. Players will get a different amount of firework rockets based on their Item Type, along with Wind Charges. Players can Wind Charge their way up to the islands or fly using rockets. Gameplay does not change too much between Map Types, though a Lava Sea does appear in the Nether Map.

Spleef-Elytra Course Images

Spleef-Electro

Spleef-Electro combines the Electro concept with Spleef. Electro is not a flexible minigame, so swapping the primary and secondary minigames for this combination doesn't alter it. Players spawn in a Spleef-like arena with small and large lightning rods. These are missing due to a bug in the Nether Map. There's only large lightning rods in the End Map. Just like in Spleef-Sniper Duels combinations, the trident breaks the spleef blocks below it when thrown.

Mob Battle

Mob Battle

Introduction: v0.2
Flexible: Yes
Biome (Nether): None - Custom Fortress
Specialty (End): Parkour
Status: Used

Overview

Mob Battle is a minigame where you have to fight mobs to complete the game. Mobs will change based on the Map Type: the Overworld has creepers, the Nether has piglins and the End has Endermen and shulkers. Primary Mob Battle minigames will get more mobs than secondary minigames. There are two waves, the first one starting one second after starting the game, the second one starting 30 seconds afterwards. Some combinations only end when all mobs have been killed.

Mob Battle-Spleef

Mob Battle-Spleef combines the Spleef concept with Mob Battle. Since Mob Battle is in the spotlight, the game takes place in this arena, except the floor is replaced by the corresponding spleef block of the chosen Map Type and it has two layers. The bottom layer allows the player to get back up to the top layer by using the structure in the middle.

Mob Battle-Spleef Images

Mob Battle-Mob Battle

Mob Battle-Mob Battle does not combine two minigames with each other. The game has PvP disabled, so players are not able to fight each other. The goal of the game is to get as many kills as possible. A player can get two wins from this: by surviving the game and by killing the most mobs.

Mob Battle-Mob Battle Images

Mob Battle-Skywars

Mob Battle-Skywars combines the Skywars concept with Mob Battle. Because Mob Battle is in the spotlight, players will spawn in a map similar to that of Mob Battle, except there's a giant hole in the middle. Players spawn in an enclosed area with two chests with basic loot. This gives players the chance to loot the chests without immediately dying from mobs. The Nether Map also has a two-block gap at every wall outside of the starting chambers. The End Map has some islands in the middle of the map.

Mob Battle-Skywars Images

Mob Battle-Duels

Mob Battle-Duels combines the Duels concept with Mob Battle. Since Mob Battle is in the spotlight, the game takes place in a slightly altered Mob Battle arena where there's no building in the middle. The Nether Map has one barrel in every starter chamber with a wither skeleton skull, which can be used to spawn a wither in the middle of the map. This wither will be like normal withers, meaning it will attack both mobs and players. It might not be a good idea to spawn it. However, it might be fun. Since this is a Duels-based minigame, PvP is enabled and encouraged.

Mob Battle-Duels Images

Mob Battle-Sniper Duels

Mob Battle-Sniper Duels combines the Sniper Duels concept with Mob Battle. Since Mob Battle is in the spotlight, the map resembles that of Mob Battle, but the center building is replaced by a sniper tower from which players can snipe their enemies. PvP is enabled and encouraged. Players spawn with a bow in their first slot and a starter sword in their second slot to make it easier for players to defend themselves. The End Map gets rid of most of the endermen and replaces them with shulkers, since endermen teleport away from projectiles.

Mob Battle-Sniper Duels Images

Mob Battle-Creeper Tennis

Mob Battle-Creeper Tennis combines the Creeper Tennis concept with Mob Battle. It looks mostly like Creeper Tennis, but the difference is that two creepers will spawn in this minigame combination, instead of one. The mob that's being tennissed does not change per Map Type.

Mob Battle-Creeper Tennis Images

Mob Battle-Elytra Course

Mob Battle-Elytra Course combines the Elytra concept from Elytra Course with Mob Battle. Players spawn on a 3x3 platform while sky islands are randomly being placed. Players get firework rockets and wind charges to navigate to the different islands.

Mob Battle-Elytra Course Images

Mob Battle-Electro

Mob Battle-Electro combines the Electro concept with Mob Battle. This mode looks the most like Electro, taking place in the Electro arena. Some mobs will spawn in the map, making the game more dangerous for both the surviving player and the thrower.

Skywars

Skywars

Introduction: v0.1
Flexible: Yes
Biome (Nether): Various
Specialty (End): End Gateways
Status: Used

Overview

Skywars is a minigame where you spawn on islands in the sky. It can be described as hunger games in the air. Each island has one or more chests with loot inside. The island in the center often has better loot. The objective is to be the last one standing.

Skywars-Spleef

Skywars-Spleef combines the Spleef concept with Skywars. Since Skywars is in the spotlight, the game takes place on islands in the sky. However, these islands are made of snow. Each player starts with a shovel/pickaxe in their hotbar. The islands are 1-2 blocks high, making it easier to spleef a player. In the Nether Map Type, all blocks have been replaced with Netherrack, Soul Sand, or Soul Soil. In the End Map Type, you can also use an End Gateway to teleport directly to the center.

Skywars-Spleef Images

Skywars-Mob Battle

Skywars-Mob Battle combines the Mob Battle part with Skywars. Since Skywars is primary, it's in the spotlight. Players spawn in a map that's similar to that of Skywars-Duels and Skywars-Sniper Duels, where players can move easily between individual islands. The map also spawns creepers, piglins or endermen and shulkers depending on the Map Type. Players spawn with a kit ready to start attacking immediately. PvP is enabled in this combination.

Skywars-Mob Battle Images

Skywars-Skywars

Skywars-Skywars does not combine different minigames. Each player spawns on their own island. In between all the islands, there is something special to be found in each map. In the Overworld Map Type, this includes 8 diamond ore, 1 lapis ore, and an Enchantment Table. In the Nether Map Type, there is a diamond block placed in lava. In the End Map, there is a chest with an Ender Pearl. Better chests can be found at the center compared to the islands. In the Nether Map Type, you need to watch out for lava and fire on the islands. In the End Map Type, you can teleport directly to the center using an End Gateway.

Skywars-Skywars Images

Skywars-Duels

Skywars-Duels combines the Duels concept with Skywars. Since Skywars is in the spotlight, the minigame takes place on islands in the sky, but everything is connected by bridges. In the center, there is a chest containing various items that can give the player an advantage, such as weapons, armor, food, blocks, and TNT. In the Nether Map Type, not all islands are connected, except for two of them. In the End Map Type, all islands are somehow connected, with one connection being a bridge leading to an End Ship in the center, and the other being a parkour course. When starting a Skywars-Duels game with the End Map Type, players receive Chorus Fruit instead of regular food. The End Ship contains a chest with an Ender Pearl.

Skywars-Duels Images

Skywars-Sniper Duels

Skywars-Sniper Duels combines the Sniper Duels concept with Skywars. Since Skywars is in the spotlight, the game takes place on islands in the sky. There are some obstacles on the starting islands, but the middle island is completely empty, except for a chest containing items such as armor or a bow. The Nether and End Map Types also closely resemble the Duels map, except for the obstacles on the starting islands and, in the case of the End Map Type, on the bridge as well. In the End Map, End Crystals can also be found on the middle island.

Skywars-Sniper Duels Images

Skywars-Creeper Tennis

Skywars-Creeper Tennis combines the Creeper Tennis concept with Skywars. Since Creeper Tennis is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. The arena consists of various islands in the sky, making it the most challenging to keep the creepers on the islands in this combination. However, barricades have been placed on the edges of the map. The style of the Overworld, Nether, and End Map Types differs significantly. The game ends after five rounds or when a player dies.

Skywars-Creeper Tennis Images

Skywars-Elytra Course

Skywars-Elytra Course combines the Elytra concept from Elytra Course with Skywars. Since Elytra Course is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. Players spawn with an elytra, rockets and wind charges, allowing them to leave their starting island immediately. There are also islands in the sky above the regular map, some of which contain chests with extra loot, like crossbows, wind charges, rockets and a mace.

Skywars-Elytra Course Images

Skywars-Electro

Skywars-Electro combines the Electro concept with Skywars. Since Electro is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. Players spawn in a map resembling Electro, except the lower half of the map consists of small islands the surviving players have to jump across. Instead of throwing tridents on lightning rods, throwers have to hit the surviving players directly to damage them.

Duels

Duels

Introduction: v0.1
Flexible: Yes
Biome (Nether): Basalt Deltas
Specialty (End): Chorus Fruit
Status: Used

Overview

Duels is a minigame where PvP is central. Duels can be played in many various ways, of which a few are being used in the combinations.

Duels-Spleef

Duels-Spleef combines the Spleef concept with Duels. Since Duels is in the spotlight, the game has only one layer instead of two. Players start with a sword in their first slot and a shovel/pickaxe (depending on the chosen Map Type) in their second slot, along with a few Golden Apples and regular food (Chorus Fruit if the End Map Type is chosen). The Nether Map contains less lava than the regular Duels map to prevent players from frequently dying due to lava. A significant portion of the lava has been replaced with magma blocks.

Duels-Spleef Images

Duels-Mob Battle

Duels-Mob Battle combines the Mob Battle concept with Duels. Since Duels is in the spotlight, the Duels map is used and less mobs spawn. Most of the lava in the Nether Map has been replaced with magma blocks.

Duels-Spleef Images

Duels-Skywars

Duels-Skywars combines the Skywars concept with Duels. Since Duels is in the spotlight, there are no islands in the sky, but rather holes in the ground. There are also chests in each corner of the map and in the center. The chests in the center contain armor, weapons, blocks, food, and TNT, while the chests in the corners only contain blocks, food, and TNT. In the Nether Map Type, each edge of the holes in the ground is replaced with magma blocks as a warning signal for players who are close to falling into the void. If the End Map Type is activated, all players receive Chorus Fruit instead of regular food.

Duels-Skywars Images

Duels-Duels

Duels-Duels does not combine different minigames with each other. There isn't much to say about this combination since it is essentially just a PvP battle with swords, TNT, blocks and food. However, it is important to note that if you activate the End Map Type, every player will receive Chorus Fruit instead of regular food.

Duels-Duels Images

Duels-Sniper Duels

Duels-Sniper Duels combines the Sniper Duels concept with Duels. Since Duels is in the spotlight, no obstacles are placed in the arena. Players start with a sword in slot 1 and a bow in slot 2. If a game is started with the Nether Map Type, the hill in the center is removed to make it easier for players to shoot. A game in the End Map Type includes End Crystals to provide a damage boost to opponents, but you also receive Chorus Fruit as a food source instead of regular food.

Duels-Sniper Duels Images

Duels-Creeper Tennis

Duels-Creeper Tennis combines the Creeper Tennis concept with Duels. Since Creeper Tennis is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. The Duels arena has a gap where players and creepers can fall through. Each player spawns with three Knockback Sticks, as well as a sword with Knockback II. These can be used for players to fight against each other. There are 5 rounds where a creeper spawns. The game ends after the fifth round or when there is only 1 player left. In each new round, players are teleported to a random location in the map to increase the chances of players engaging in combat. In the End Map Type, the food has been changed from regular food to Chorus Fruit.

Duels-Creeper Tennis Images

Duels-Elytra Course

Duels-Elytra Course combines the Elytra concept from Elytra Course with Duels. Since Elytra Course is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. The Duels arena now spawns with various sky islands above it, adding three-dimensionality to the fight. Players get the Glowing effect so that others can see them. However, this effect gets removed whilst sneaking. The Nether Map is different, since it's usually a closed-off room. Now, the top layer gets removed with a few layers below mirrored on top of the map, giving players one extra layer to fight on. The End Map does spawn with floating islands. Players get a different amount of firework rockets based on the Item Type.

Duels-Elytra Course Images

Duels-Electro

Duels-Electro combines the Electro concept with Duels. Since Electro is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. When the game starts, it starts to thunder. Swords have been replaced by tridents with channeling. The Nether Map is a bit different. Since it's usually a closed-off room, the rain can't get to the fighting surface, meaning channeling would be useless. That's why the top layers of the Nether Map has been cleared. This means that channeling works when players are exposed to the air parts of the map, but not the closed-off parts.

Sniper Duels

Sniper Duels

Introduction: v0.1
Flexible: Yes
Biome (Nether): Soul Sand Valley
Specialty (End): End Crystals
Status: Used

Overview

Sniper Duels is a minigame where you can only attack with a bow. You don't get a sword, so pretty much all attacks are ranged. This is a spin-off of Duels. There are obstacles where players can hide behind, so that they're relatively safe from arrows shot towards them.

Sniper Duels-Spleef

Sniper Duels-Spleef combines the Spleef concept with Sniper Duels. Since Sniper Duels is in the spotlight, the game has only one layer instead of two. There are obstacles placed on top of the snow that cannot be quickly broken with a shovel. However, in the End Map Type, you can use a diamond pickaxe to break the obstacles. When you shoot an arrow, blocks such as snow blocks, soul soil, soul sand, and end stone underneath will break, making it easier for the player to fall down. If you activate the End Map Type, there are also End Crystals that you can shoot to provide a damage boost to a player standing nearby.

Sniper Duels-Spleef Images

Sniper Duels-Mob Battle

Sniper Duels-Mob Battle combines the Mob Battle concept with Sniper Duels. Since Sniper Duels is in the spotlight, the game takes place in the Sniper Duels arena. PvP is enabled. The End Map has End Crystals players can shoot at.

Sniper Duels-Mob Battle Images

Sniper Duels-Skywars

Sniper Duels-Skywars combines the Skywars concept with Sniper Duels. Since Sniper Duels is in the spotlight, there are no islands in the sky but rather holes in the ground. Additionally, the outer edge of the map has been removed, making it possible for players to fall down from any side. Each hole has a wall surrounding one side. The Power Enchantment has been lowered for this combination, but the Punch Enchantment is still there. There are no chests on the island, but the End Map Type features End Crystals that players can shoot at.

Sniper Duels-Skywars Images

Sniper Duels-Duels

Sniper Duels-Duels combines the Duels concept with Sniper Duels. Since Sniper Duels is in the spotlight, there are obstacles placed everywhere for players to take cover behind. Players start with a bow in their first slot and a sword in their second slot. If you activate the End Map Type, End Crystals will also spawn that players can shoot at.

Sniper Duels-Duels Images

Sniper Duels-Sniper Duels

Sniper Duels-Sniper Duels does not combine multiple minigames together. Players are equipped with a bow and can use it to shoot other players. There are obstacles placed for players to take cover behind. In the End Map Type, End Crystals can be found, which can be shot to deal damage to other players standing nearby.

Sniper Duels-Sniper Duels Images

Sniper Duels-Creeper Tennis

Sniper Duels-Creeper Tennis combines the Creeper Tennis concept with Sniper Duels. Since Creeper Tennis is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. In the arena, there are simple poles on both sides for players to take cover behind. Players do not receive any food, so they can't rely on that. They are provided with three bows: one with Knockback V and Punch IV, one with Knockback IX and Punch VI, and one with Knockback XI and Punch VIII. This allows players to shoot and slap creepers. There are five rounds before a game ends unless enough players have been eliminated.

Sniper Duels-Creeper Tennis Images

Sniper Duels-Elytra Course

Sniper Duels-Elytra Course combines the Elytra concept of Elytra Course with Sniper Duels. Since Elytra Course is not a flexible minigame, the two aspects are evenly balanced. The Sniper Duels arena now spawns with various sky islands above it, adding three-dimensionality to the fight. Players get the Glowing effect so that others can see them. However, this effect gets removed whilst sneaking. The Nether Map is different, since it's usually a closed-off room. Now, the top layer gets removed with a few layers below mirrored on top of the map, giving players one extra layer to fight on. The top layer also has fossils on them. The End Map does spawn with floating islands. Players get a different amount of firework rockets based on the Item Type and will use crossbows instead of regular bows. When choosing the Great Items Type, players will get explosive firework rockets in their inventory to shoot, instead of regular or spectral arrows.

Sniper Duels-Elytra Course Images

Sniper Duels-Electro

Sniper Duels-Electro combines the Electro with Sniper Duels. When the game starts, it starts to thunder. Bows will now summon lightning when an arrow hits a block. This will not happen when a player has been successfully hit by an arrow.

Creeper Tennis

Creeper Tennis

Introduction: v0.1
Flexible: No
Biome (Nether): Basalt Deltas
Specialty (End): None
Status: Used

Overview

Creeper Tennis is a minigame where you need to tennis creepers to the other side of the arena using Knockback Sticks. It's a minigame inspired by a Minecraft Realms world where you also had to tennis creepers. This was eventually integrated in Minigame Mixer as a minigame. Aside from the server TogetherCraft, this is the first Creeper Tennis minigame I could find.

Creeper Tennis-Creeper Tennis

Creeper Tennis-Creeper Tennis does not combine with other minigames. There are no other combinations here because Creeper Tennis isn't flexible. In Creeper Tennis, players spawn with three Knockback Sticks: one with Knockback V, one with Knockback IX, and one with Knockback XI. Knockback V is sufficient to send a creeper to the other side if you're close to the edge. Knockback IX can send a creeper to the other side if it's roughly in the middle on your side. Knockback XI can send a creeper to the other side if you're further away from the edge. A Creeper Tennis game consists of 5 rounds, and it ends after those 5 rounds. Alternatively, a game can end if enough players have been eliminated. The creeper spawns half a second after the next round's title appears, approximately one block in front of the player. If a player looks downward, the creeper will fall into the ground and likely into the void. The creeper should spawn near the player who last attacked it, if everything is working correctly.

Elytra Course

Elytra Course

Introduction: v0.2
Flexible: No
Biome (Nether): None
Specialty (End): End Gateways
Status: Used

Overview

Elytra Course is a minigame where you have to be the first player to fly through four hoops. The first one to do so wins the game. It's the fastest minigame in the map. Elytra Course-Elytra Course is, however, the only combination with this specific gameplay aspect. The others mostly focus on the Elytra aspect of Elytra Course.

Elytra Course-Elytra Course

Elytra Course-Elytra Course does not combine with other minigames. Like explained above, players have to be the first to go through four hoops. The hoops in the Overworld have a lush theme, the Nether Map has blackstone-based hoops with Twisted and Weeping Vines, which take players out of flying mode when hitting these. The End Map features End Gateways that teleport players to different corners of the map.

Electro

Electro

Introduction: v0.2
Flexible: No
Biome (Nether): None
Specialty (End): None
Status: Used

Overview

Electro is a minigame invented by me on my Dutch Minecraft SMP called 'Tijd4Survival'. It's a game where a player spawns on top of the map and the other at the lower level. The top player is the 'thrower' and has to throw a channeling trident onto lightning rods to damage the player standing below it. If the thrower manages to kill the lower player, they win. If the lower player survives for a minute, they win.

Electro-Electro

Electro-Electro does not combine with other minigames. Like explained above, the top player has to kill the lower player with a channeling trident by hitting lightning rods. The Nether and End Maps do not really differ from this. However, The Nether Map does feature lava to add some extra danger for both parties.

Other Non-Flexible Minigame Combinations

Creeper Tennis-Elytra Course & Elytra Course-Creeper Tennis

Creeper Tennis-Elytra Course combines the hoop concept of Elytra Course with Creeper Tennis. At the start of every round, one of the players automatically spawns a hoop where the creeper has to go through in order to get to the other side. The edges of the map have been replaced by air blocks, so watch out when punching de creepers!

Creeper Tennis-Elytra Course & Elytra Course-Creeper Tennis Images

Creeper Tennis-Electro & Electro-Creeper Tennis

Creeper Tennis-Electro combines the Electro concept with Creeper Tennis. When starting a game, it starts to thunder. The Creeper Tennis arena gets three large lightning rods at both sides of the map. The sticks get replaced by channeling tridents. These can be used to hit creepers to the other side with a melee attack, but not by throwing it.

Creeper Tennis-Electro & Electro-Creeper Tennis Images

Elytra Course-Electro & Electro-Elytra Course

Elytra Course-Electro combines the lightning rod aspect from electro with the "go through four hoops" aspect from Elytra Course. When starting a game, players spawn on powdered snow and have to be the first to hit four lightning rods with their tridents. The player who hits four of them first wins the game. In the Nether Map, there's a lava sea below the tridents and ghasts spawn. In the End Map, players get levitated and have to hit the lightning rods on their way down.

Until very short before v0.1 was released, there was a Spongee Tree in the Skywars-Creeper Tennis Overworld Map Type

Until day 4 of development of v0.1, the Skywars-Spleef map had more layers

An Overworld Map overhaul is already planned for a future update

All minigames are loaded by the /clone command. That's why the Render Distance has to be 16 or higher
